Our wedding party

  • Megan Simmons, Maid Of Honor
Megan and I became friends in middle school and have shared a close bond every since. In high school, Megan often stayed over at our house while her father was on business trips, and she became the sister I never had. Our lives were filled with homework, dance, boys, and adventure. We made a few dance videos, built a cardboard pink-cadillac boat, and spent many mornings cleaning up toilet paper from the front yard as the house was a favorite teepee target for the football team. Megan majored in musical theater and dance in college, a perfect fit for her as her personality just lights up the stage. You can see her performing in musicals at Drury Lane, personal training at the Good Sam Health & Wellness Center, or teaching and choreographing dance and musical theater for many local schools and theater programs. Megan is one of the most generous people I know as she always finds time and thoughtful words for her loved ones despite her very busy schedule.
  • Becky Rasiarmos-Savonovic, Bridesmaid
Becky has been friends with Dave since they were in elementary school. Becky and I met freshman year at Marquette in a pre-physical therapy class, Medical Terminology. Neither of us knew anyone else in the class and we ended up taking 3rd row seats next to each other. We didn't know it at the time, but it was the start of a friendship and our future seats for PT lectures for next 6 years. Becky and I shared many classes during our undergraduate years and became friends and study-buddies. In graduate school, we became very close friends and took studying to the next level. We often went coffee-shop hopping, studying at 2-3 coffee shops on any given Saturday preparing for exams and practicals. Becky introduced Dave and I (again) just before graduation as PT's. She gave us both encouragement to date the other, as she knew us both well and that we would be a good fit together. Now that we are finished with school and studying, Becky and I still fulfill our inner "PT-geek" and enjoy discussing interesting cases and treatment techniques. We talk regularly (even while I was in Singapore!) about everything and especially enjoy Marquette basketball and shopping together.
